One note from an antique wind-up toy. Recorded with a relatively low-quality mic at a close distance; you can hear the machine of the music box churning and some faint ambient humming.
Humming of the song viejo amor (alfonso esparza, 1946, aguascalientes, méxico), performed by ruth ramirez (2020, guanajuato, méxico). Recorded indoor with tascam dr-40, unedited.
This is the sound of a toolbox full of diverse tools at ubica lab (upf). Their research areas are enclosed within the general disciplines of ubiquitous computing, contextual intelligence and cognitive systems, using sensors and radiofrequency identificaiton (rfid).
About 15 seconds from a music-box right after winding it up all the way, so the notes are faster and a bit crisper then in my other samples. The melody is somewhat blurred due to the item's age, but it sounds like silent night.
This is full sequence of music-box in tea can with screweing up(?) until full stop. It's gift-set of tin box with tea and onboard music box. First i'm winding up music box, put box on the table, then it plays until full stop. This audio recorded with sony mobile communications audio recorder (android) on nexus 4 in pcm wav. Then it was slightly edited with audacity - tiny noise reduction and equalisation (boost frequencies below ~400 hz, lowered frequencies higher than ~2500 hz).
Creepy music box recorded in audacity on a yamaha ew300 keyboard using music box voice and choir voice in background with normalized amplitude lowered in audacity by -9db.
This piece is created by two recordings of me winding and playing my mother's music box, two projection machines, and a parrot harmonic that my father gave me.
Large cardboard box falling onto ground. Edits into one-shots. Stacks with other from bundle into a good crash. Recorded with shure ksm32 and buzz audio arc at 24bit and 48khz. Requires editing.
A version of greensleeves, played on a music box with distortion and reverb, to imitate the speaker of an ice cream van. In australian ice cream vans most commonly play greensleeves for some reason, and they all use crappy amplifiers cranked up as loud as they'll go, so the result is something like this. Created in ableton live. The music-box sequence is created using a sampler with sounds from https://freesound. Org/people/folkman/packs/4540/ put through an expander-compressor and an overdrive filter with reverb.
It's a music i made for game, the scene is used in characters memorize their childhood. This is music box version, and this is half of the music for people edit the song further more. I'll glad it is used in someone's game, just hope you can share with me the game. By the way, i'm an engineer background(like to make games) not musician, composing just my hobby. I'll glad to answer your any question for it.
Found a half-broken wind-up rotating christmas tree music box. . . Thing. . . Raw 24/96 ms recording; be sure to decode before use. Left channel is mid, right is side. To do this manually you should separate the channels to two mono tracks, duplicate the side track and invert the duplicate. Pan the side tracks hard left and right, and mix with the mono mid channel. Or use a plugin to do it for you :d.
This is my very old, rusty, squeaky music box that plays "what child is this. " it's so old that it plays really slowly, so i had to speed it up electronically. You can even hear the whirs it makes.
I steve reiched a 'tune' i made with the celeste sample from my edirol orchestral plug-in and i think it makes good atmospheric music for a variety of things, depending on where you are in the track. It only really gets going from about 1:35 but after that i think it makes good fairy tale, horror, meditation, relaxation and mystical/cosmic soundtracks.
